Dinesen has been a “Founding Patron of Saatchi Gallery” since 2008, when new Douglas wooden floors were laid in the 14 large exhibition rooms of the gallery. Allford Hall Monaghan Morris was behind the renovation of the impressive gallery near London’s Sloane Square.
At the Danish art centre, Copenhagen Contemporary, a former industrial hall is transformed into an immersive environment shaped by elemental forces. The installation is built on a dialogue between materials that define much of the built environment: wood and brick. This is realised through close collaboration with Danish partners whose contributions are integral to the project’s architectural language.
Now, and after more than three years of planning, noma has re-opened in a new space with wood from Dinesen as a consistent key element.
Et taktilt kunstværk er blevet til i samarbejdet mellem Material Think Space, Dinesen og Bank of Materials. Med afskæringer af Dinesen Douglas træ, leveret af Bank of Materials, har Material Think Space skabt et skulpturelt artefakt til en midlertidig udstilling i Dinesens Showrooms i Århus og København.
