In the middle of London’s finest interior design district, Collier Webb Showroom welcomes its clients into an aesthetic and classic showroom designed by West Architecture. The space has been transformed from floor to ceiling with a new all-glass shop front to present the firm’s furniture and lighting designs.
Inside, the space is characterised by soft, architectural lines and pleasant, neutral colours that are an elegant match for the Dinesen Douglas floors and bespoke shelving systems and stairs. The choice fell on solid Douglas for the new floors because it patinates beautifully and underscores the sense of durability and permanence.
The walls were adapted to match the creative design concept with new, arched openings. Flexible display niches are built into the walls and utilise some of the original functions. These elegant solutions combine to bring out the qualities of the space and tie the rooms together. This has given the showroom a gallery quality, where the shop and the back of the building fuse into one.
The coherent design of the showroom reflects the care and craftsmanship that characterise Collier Webb’s unique, bespoke designs.
