The flat was designed by the Stockholm-based design and branding office Whyte Lilja. The goal was to create a space where every aspect of the flat’s interior, materials and objects is characterised by exceptional quality and high durability while also capturing a laid-back feeling of calm and authenticity. To achieve this, Whyte Lilja integrated natural materials such as solid wood and natural stone combined with plastered walls and skylights that let in the fleeting Scandinavian light.

‘To underscore the flat’s spaciousness and unobstructed lines of sight, we chose Dinesen Oak Classic, allowing the 2 to 5-metre long planks to extend through the ample rooms. The wide, solid oak planks lay the foundation for a high-quality interior and are matched by tall doors in Dinesen wood.’

– Maria Whyte, creative director and founder of Whyte Lilja
