LINK Arkitektur

The award-winning architecture firm LINK Arkitektur creates sustainable architecture for society with maximum social value and minimal environmental impact. The firm’s architectural mission is to create spaces that improve well-being and quality of life for the people who use them. That ambition made Dinesen wood a natural interior choice when the office in Frederikstad, Norway moved to new premises.

To LINK, architecture is about creating good living and working spaces of high architectural quality to the benefit of both current and future generations. These values and qualities also permeate the firm’s new office in Frederikstad.

Guided by LINK’s high standards, the design of the new studio in Norway aims to ensure that both staff and clients experience the studio as a pleasant and inspiring place to work and visit.

The firm chose Dinesen flooring  as a way to create a workplace rooted in natural materials. Solid planks in Ash Natural with a white oil finish combine with the raw brick walls and partitions in glass and steel in a harmonious interplay. To supplement the floors and create soft transitions, Dinesen Ash was also used to line some of the walls. Alongside the more industrial features, the wood lights up, softens the acoustic properties of the space and brings a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere to this workplace setting.

LINK Arkitektur was founded in 2000 and has since opened additional offices in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. It is one of the biggest architecture firms in Scandinavia and covers a wide scope within its field, including interior and landscape architecture, industrial design and spatial transformations.
