With over 700 years of art and history, the SMK (Statens Museum for Kunst in Danish) houses Denmark's most extensive art collection. However, it is not just the pieces displayed on the walls that showcase the evolution of art; the building itself embodies SMK's lengthy history and the ongoing development of museums.
While renovating the facilities on the right side of the main entrance, SMK opened a café called MAGNOLIA to meet the needs of its guests throughout the day. MAGNOLIA uses seasonal ingredients and shorter supply chains while minimising food waste by implementing circular practices in its menu and materials. This approach sets a high standard for the museum's dining experience and café atmosphere.

Wide floor planks of Oak Classic have been installed in the rooms, featuring impressive floor-to-ceiling heights. This, combined with the large windows and curved ceilings, creates a stunning architectural setting for the interior.
