London-based Studio Merlin undertook the refurbishment of this flat, which forms a calm, harmonious home for a couple in North London. Nicknamed ‘Maison Pour Dodo’, which loosely translates as ‘house for sleep’, the project aimed to create a serene environment free from stress and unnecessary material ‘noise’. The result is a contemporary home where a soft colour palette creates a warm, muted ambience, and pale wood plays a key role. Dinesen Douglas is used for floors, stairs and bespoke furniture and interior elements throughout the two-storey flat.
