Multi-designer Luca Nichetto established the head office of her design studio in a traditional Swedish timber cottage just outside Stockholm. From outside, it looks like something out of a story by the beloved Swedish writer Astrid Lindgren: an adorable wooden house painted a delicate pink with white trim, surrounded by a flowering garden. No one would guess that the cottage contains design magic that is out of this world.

Luca Nichetto is the owner of Nichetto Studio and the lead architect behind the new design studio Pink Villa. Behind the charming pink exterior is a modern head office that contains an explosion of design furniture, art and architectural solutions in intense colours and expressions along with a clearly felt Swedish spirit that resides inside the walls of the building.
The twisted pink staircase immediately attracts attention, beckoning visitors to the fascinating upper level, which has Dinesen Douglas floors. The slightly reddish notes of Douglas fir is a perfect match for the Pink Villa. The Lye and White Oil finish beautifully brings out the inherent colour contrasts of the grain.
The unique guest section, dubbed the Nichetto Chalet, is lined entirely in Douglas fir on the floor, walls and ceiling, forming a calm, serene space infused with the gentle scent of fir where guests and project partners can experience the special energy of Nichetto Studio.
Throughout, the design studio has been orchestrated as a pleasant home, rather than a workplace, in order to give the employees and their creative minds free reins. The architecture is generous and welcoming and forms a bright, airy space with room for aesthetic pursuits. Inspiration can be found in the surrounding landscape, in cosy areas with sofas or desks or in sheltered nooks that are perfect for meetings or more immersive, focused work.
