Strib Residence

Overlooking the Little Belt lies a beautiful bungalow dedicated to the light and the water. The three-storey house is built on a slope and designed by the architect Anette Billund.

The living room has access to a north-west-facing patio with a view of the marina, and in a sheltered nook between the building elements lies a larger patio with a view of the lighthouse.

The house is steeped in quality and attention to detail, both inside and out. The clean style provides a beautiful and underplayed setting for the functions of the house. Throughout the bungalow, Dinesen HeartOak creates a warm contrast to the simple style. The butterfly joints in the HeartOak planks add character to the floor and give it a unique expression.

The basement and the living room are embedded partially in the sloping hillside, while the top floor, which contains the living room and kitchen, juts out from the slope. The two intersecting elements have created an ideal outdoor setting that makes the most of the light and the view.
