David Thulstrup chose Layers in Oak and HeartOak for their calm, presence, and ability to support a cohesive spatial flow across floors, walls, and stairs.
The engineered planks offer excellent stability, ensuring a uniform surface that elevates the sense of continuity throughout the space.
In selected areas, HeartOak adds an expressive layer to the narrative. Its natural cracks are preserved and locked with butterfly joints, revealing the passage of time in the life of the tree.
Together, the two products create a tactile, grounded atmosphere—rooted in craftsmanship and quiet detail.
Layers is our high-quality engineered wooden flooring, embodying the same craftsmanship as our solid plank floors.
The new John Pawson Furniture Collection, launched in 2024, is showcased in the apartment and includes the Sofa, Coffee Table, Dining Table, Daybed, and Stool.
This collection is the result of a rediscovery and redesign of the original furniture collection created by John Pawson for Pawson House in 1992.
The partnership between Dinesen and John Pawson has flourished over three decades, making this collection a testament to our enduring collaboration. Drawing inspiration from Pawson's sketches from 1992, the 2024 collection encapsulates and reflects the essence of our ongoing work together.
The pieces are crafted in Douglas Classic with an Oak shadow detail
Finished with Light Oil and upholstered with Kvadrat Levino fabric 0003 by Sahco, chosen by David Thulstrup
We have developed a material selection and concept development tool to help you choose the best flooring solutions. The Dinesen Sample Box allows you to experience the wood's tactile qualities, structure, and finish during the early stages of your design process. Our Sample Box comes in two variations: Solid, available in both small and large sizes, and Layers, also offered in small and large sizes.
