With the many sliding doors, large windows and the consistent use of Dinesen Douglas planks, the inside and outside merge elegantly. The choice of Douglas plank flooring for both the interior and exterior creates a distinctive and natural aesthetics made of straight lines, which continue in an almost infinitive elegance in whichever room you enter or exit.
In the courtyard, two rectangular pools cross each other, one in-ground and the other one in the air. With its glass bottom the biggest impact of the house comes from the striking visual statement of the first floor swimming pool shimmering above its ground floor counterpart. The pool both animates and lightens the patio and interior circulation areas during the day while functioning as a huge lightbox when night falls.
