At the Danish art centre, Copenhagen Contemporary, a former industrial hall is transformed into an immersive environment shaped by elemental forces. The installation is built on a dialogue between materials that define much of the built environment: wood and brick. This is realised through close collaboration with Danish partners whose contributions are integral to the project’s architectural language.
Now, and after more than three years of planning, noma has re-opened in a new space with wood from Dinesen as a consistent key element.
A tactile art piece has emerged in the collaboration between Material Think Space, Dinesen and Bank of Materials. With offcuts of Dinesen Douglas fir provided by Bank of Materials, Material Think Space has developed a sculptural artefact for an interim exhibition at Dinesen’s Showrooms in Aarhus and Copenhagen.
